Edward G. Franco, 92 of Milford, died suddenly Jan. 19th at Milford Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Norma Lanna Franco. Born in Bridgeport, son of the late Tiberio & Theresa Marseglia Franco, Ed worked for the So. CT Gas Co. as a courier for 39 years, retiring in 1995. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, opera, and musical theater. He was a member of the Gas Co. 25-year club, one of the founders & board of directors of S.C.G.C Credit Union, as well as a member of the Gas Co. Volunteer Program. He is survived by a son Robert Franco of New York, a daughter Claudia (Scott) Kelly of New Jersey, a grandson Matthew Kelly and a loving niece Linda (Vincent) Giordano of Branford, as well as the Raccio families of North Haven, Wallingford, & Branford. He was predeceased by brothers; Carl, Oliver, & Robert Franco. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial WEDNESDAY at 12pm in St. Barnabas Church, North Haven, and may call Wednesday morning from 9:15 - 11:15 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Burial with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
