Edmund D. Borsari, born December 20, 1928, life long resident of Hamden passed away at CT Hospice on May 10th at age 89. He was the son of the late Primo & Emma Barbieri Borsari. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years Lorraine Gibson Borsari and their daughter Pamela, and also brother Allen (Lucille Gibson Borsari), sister Doris (George Maselli), sister-in-law Blanche Gibson Maines, and mother & father-in-law Charles and Elizabeth Tessmer Gibson. He is survived by his daughter Lynn Borsari & grandson Nicholas Siciliano of Hamden and his son Gregory (Laurianne) Borsari of Fredericksburg VA. and grandsons Brian Borsari of Chicago IL, and Andrew Borsari of Hampton VA., and also Brothers-in-law William (Judy) Gibson of Hamden, and Milo Maines of Spring Hill, FL., close nephews Steven & Christopher (Lori) Borsari of Hamden and several other nieces & nephews. Edmund served proudly in the US Army and was the former owner of Carmel Carpet Service. He was a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Hamden Council #3605, and a member of the American Legion Post 88. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where in earlier years he was an active member. Funeral services will be held MONDAY at 11:15 A.M. from the Peter H.Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell ave., Hamden, and at 12 Noon in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church. Burial in St. Mary's cemetery.
