Edith Sagnella Raccio, 93, of Hamden, died Feb. 7, 2017 at Conn Hospice after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Edward Raccio. Edith was born in Wallingford, Aug. 4, 1923, the daughter of the late Anthony and Leonilde Francomacaro Sagnella and was a clerk at Macy's for 30 years, prior to retiring in 1994. She was a member of the St. Stephen Bowling League  and the  Notre Dame Alumni Mothers Club. She is survived by her loving children, Roberta Brym and her husband Edward of New Haven, Dr. Edward ( Karen) Raccio of East Lyme and Michael (Grace) Raccio of Meriden, a brother Sylvio (Marilyn) Sagnella of Hamden, grandchildren, Vaness & Nicole, Daniel, Christine, Mikayla and Bethany and 7 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Edward Michael Raccio and a brother Anthony Sagnella Jr. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave. Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
