Douglas H Davis, 67 of Branford, CT passed away with his family by his side March 11, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Doug as he was known to all, was born November 16, 1956 in New Haven, CT to the late Helen "Haddon" Davis and Harvey Davis. He worked for Cherry Hill Construction operating heavy machinery for many years until he retired. He loved to be outdoors camping, fishing, working on cars or motorcycles, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family. He was a man's man. He valued hard work and honesty. He was respected and loved by so many. Douglas is survived by his children Pauline (Dennis) Diglio, Rachel (Mike) Diglio, Matthew Davis, Alyssa Davis, William Davis, Alexa (VJ) Davis and Jason Cox. His grandchildren Anthony, Kelsey, Makayla, Aiden, Michael, Makenzie, Tyler, Morgan, Madyson, Mason, Matthew, Rylee, Lila and a great granddaughter Brooklyn. Douglas is also survived by his brothers and sisters Gary Davis, Richard Davis, Marcella Davis, Ronald Angelotti, Sandra Ferrara, Linda Davis, Gail Rodriguez, Judy Anderson, Shelley Davis, Earl Davis, Rita Davis and many nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn are his lifelong friends and the mothers of his children Pauline Whaley and Kim Cox. He was pre-deceased by his son Douglas Diglio and brother Harvey Davis Jr. Calling hours will be held SATURDAY March 16th from 10:30 am - 1pm in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell ave., Hamden. Burial will be private.
