Dorothy Ann Caso, 92, of Hamden died March 21st at Hamden Health Care after a brief illness. She was the widow of Eugene Caso. Born in New Haven, Jan. 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late James & Margaret Francione Letize. She worked in Ft. Pierce FL., and locally at the Firelite Bridal Shop as a fashion consultant for many years. Her hobbies included crocheting, crossword puzzles, and country music. She was an avid Red Sox fan. She loved all animals, especially cats. Dorothy was a forever communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by brothers; Joseph, Albert, Harry, and Ernest Letize, a sister Florence DelVecchio, nieces; Linda Curtis, and Armida Funaro; nephews Robert DelVecchio, and Harry James Letize. She is survived by devoted nieces & nephews; Lorraine (Louis) Palumbo & Margaret Ann Limosani, Jo-Ann White, Raymond Letize, Ronald Letize, and several great nieces & nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Monaco and Lee Ann Capolla, director, and her entire staff at Hamden Health Care for their continuous, patient and understanding care of Dorothy. Also, Connecticut Hospice staff for their amazing attention and personal care during her illness. At Dorothy's request, funeral services will be private for the immediate family only.
