Doris Civitello Roman, 72, of Whiting St. Hamden, died peacefully April 28th, surrounded by her closest friends & family. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Civitello, she had 4 brothers and 9 sisters. Doris worked as a clerk at the Quinnipiac Bookstore and Apex pharmacy. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, Uconn basketball, and spending countless hours with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her siblings, she is survived by sons Edward Leonard of Chicago, and Paul Leonard of Shelton, daughters; Mrs. Michael(Elaine) LaBanca, and Elizabeth DeZerga, both of Wallingford and grandchildren, Edward, Cosette, Giancarlo, Kyle, Courtney and Madeline Leonard, Caitlyn and Brianna DeZerga and Genaro,Michaela, Gianna, & Dante LaBanca. Funeral Thursday at 9:15 from the Peter H.Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell ave. Hamden, and at St.Ann's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
