Doris ( Adolorata) Ferraro Ciravolo, 88, of 91 Cumpstone Dr., Hamden, died Feb. 15, 2010 at her home surrounded by her devoted family. She was the wife of the late Michael Ciravolo. Doris was born in Hamden, Dec. 29, 1921, the daughter of the late Carmen and Mildred Esposito Ferraro amd was a bookkeeper for the Town of Hamden and retired in 1962 from the Board of Education. She was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for many years. Doris loved many and was loved by many in return. She will be missed but never forgotten. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jim ( Jo-Ann) Sweet of Northford, sons, Michael Ciravolo Jr. of Southbury and Thomas (Tamara) Ciravolo of Farmington, sister of Camille Orr of Oakl;and,CA, Joseph (Mary) Vernucci of Hamden and the late Salvatore and Anthony Ferraro, Philomena Giovanelly, Carmel Casanova and Nicholas Vernucci, grandmother of Matthew David, Noelle Samara, and Ava Adolorata. Friends are invited to go directly to a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Friday at 10 A.M. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday at the Peter H.
