IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Jean
Votto
May 19, 1944 – March 26, 2022
Donna Jean Votto of Hamden passed away peacefully March 26th after a brief illness. She was 77 years young. It would be wrong to say that Donna lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. When anyone else would have broken, Donna stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like, there was no quit in Donna. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn't mean she lost her fight. Donna was born in the Bronx on May 19, 1944, to Helen (Melnysyn) and William Werth and is survived by her husband of 58 Years, Ronald Sr. and their sons, Ronald Jr. (April) of Durham, and Christopher (Jeanette) of Northford. Aside from her children, she is survived by her brother, William (Beverly) Werth II of Cheshire, her grandchildren (Taylor, Kayla, Courtney, and Sofia), and nieces and nephews. Donna was known for her passion for cooking. Her recipes will live on with her sons, daughter in laws, and her 4 grandchildren. She displayed her love for working with young children as a nursery schoolteacher and babysitter. Her hobbies included crocheting, bowling, and boating. She was also a member of the Elks Club of Branford. They invite you to join them for a memorial service at All Saints Cemetery on Thursday, March 31 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude (www.stjude.org) can be made in Donna's name.
