Donato Nazzareno Deieso, 76, of Hamden, died Jan. 22, 2013 at Conn Hospice after a brief illness.He was the husband of the late Giovanna Squeglia Deieso. Donato was born in Pago Vienno, Italy, Nov. 15, 1936, and had resided in Hamden most of his life. He served in the Italian Army prior to coming to this country and was a mason for the C.W. Blakeslee Co. for over twenty years prior to retiring. He enjoyed fishing, boce and making wine. He is survived by his loving children, Rosemarie Deieso (John Cassella Sr.) of Branford, Nicholas (Patti) Deieso of Meriden and Donato (Patty) Deieso Jr., of East Haven, sisters Carolina and Tina Deieso and grandchildren, Anthony and Daniel Deieso and Joshua, Zachary and Gregory Crevier. He was pre-deceased by his siblings Michael, Angelo, Teddy and Maria Deieso. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 10 o'clock. Entombment in the Mausoleum at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 P.M.
