Dominic R. Civitello, 94, of 60 A, Clifford St., Hamden, died Oct 6, 2011 at Whitney Manor. He was the husband of Carmel Violante Civitello. Dom was born in New Haven, Dec. 20, 1916, the son of the late Paul & Raffaela Civitello and was a construction laborer with the Conn. Labor Union, Local 455, for over 50 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Beside his wife, he is survived by sons, Robert Civitello of VA, Frank (Joyce) and Paul Civitello, both of Hamden, sisters, Josephine (Pattie) Bradley, Doris Roman, Rose Capolla, Paula Purificato, Gloria Scalese, Patricia Milardo, Angie (Mickie) D'Nato and Ann Jenkins and a brother John Civitello. 3 grandchildrena nd 6 greaqt grandchildren. He was pre-deceaqsed by his step motheer Elizabeth D'Amato and siblings, Anthony and Joseph Civitello and Susie Bello and Mary Albe. Funeral, with military honors, Wednesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Centerville Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
