Dolores J. Stacey, 92 of Wallingford, formerly of Hamden died Peacefully at home August 11th. She was the loving wife of the late Albert Stacey. Born in Magdalena Colombia, South America, daughter of the late Helario & Maria Lengua Jimenez, Dolores worked as a C.N.A at Hamden HealthCare for 23 years, retiring in 2004. She lived in Hamden most of her life, and was the Matriarch of the family. She loved family gatherings and being with her grand kids. She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for over 30 years. She is survived by daughters Helen (Kenneth) Pittman and Amalia (Demetrius) Johnson both of Hamden, sisters Rose Merva of Stratford, Enelda Jimenez of Barranquilla, Colombia, a nephew Joseph (Clara) and their daughter Olivia Merva of Stratford, a daughter-in-law Wendy Stacey of Wolcott, grandchildren Jordan Stacey, Olivia (Jaime) Plourde, Mackenzie Pittman, & Jaelynn Pittman, great grandchildren, Nate, Maxwell, & Bodie, as well as extended family members in Colombia. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sons William and Albert Stacey. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 - 7 pm in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends are asked to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital ( www.stjude.org ).
