Dolores Ann Errity, 74, of Hamden, passed away peacefully Friday with her family at her side.She was born December 18, 1940 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Salvadore "Doey" and Rose Silvester. Dolores graduated from Old Saybrook High School and St. Francis School of Nursing in Hartford and was a registered nurse, providing compassionate care for countless patients at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington and then for more than 28 years at Temple Surgical Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Michael, and their three beloved children: Michael(Michele) of Atlanta, Georgia; Deirdre Cerulli(Tom) of Trumbull; and Maureen Bujno(Stephen) of New York City. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Charlotte Errity and Anna and Michael Cerulli; brother Ralph Silvester(Madeline) and 11 nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie, who died in childhood. Dolores resided in Hamden for 50 years and was a devoted parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church. She lived for her family and friends and was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Dolores spent her life serving others selflessly. She loved to cook, travel, and spend time with her family and friends, especially at her summer home at Ocean Edge in Brewster, Cape Cod. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 20, from 5-8pm at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joan of Arc Church, 450 W. Todd St., Hamden, on Wednesday October 21 at 10am.
