Diane M. Cassella 79 of Hamden died suddenly at home November 6th. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Anthony & Alice Baccelli Cassella. Diane worked for many years as Bank Manager at CT Savings Bank. Upon her retirement from the bank, she then worked at DelSole & Del Sole L.L.P of Wallingford. Diane was a wonderful cook who was proud of her Italian heritage. She traveled multiple times to Italy enjoying the culture, the wine, and the food. She was an avid Yankees fan and also enjoyed working in her flower beds and on her herb garden. She is survived by a brother Joseph (Jan) Cassella of Southington, and a sister Leonore (Thomas) Iannucci of Madison. Diane was a devoted aunt to Alicia (Jim) Ferro, Thomas (Heather) Iannucci, Diana (Jeff) Westcott, Aimee (Anthony) Marsilo, and Andrea (Evin) Mosses. Calling hours will be held TUESDAY November 10th from 9 - 10:30 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
