Diana Gene DeRenzo, 79, of Hamden died peacefully at home January 21st after a long illness, with her family by her side. Born in New Haven August 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Rae Consiglio DeRenzo. Diana enjoyed shopping, cooking for her family, watching movies, playing poker, and singing karaoke. She is survived by sons; Kenneth Jr. (Denise) Ouimet of Middletown, David (Shannon) DeRenzo of Cheshire, Albert (Laura) DeRenzo of Hamden, and Michael (Stephanie) Boughton & family, Daughters; Maria (Darrel) Aldridge of North Branford, Teresa (James) Dorsey of Marlborough, and Currin DeRenzo of Hamden, Sisters; Patricia DeRenzo , Sharon DeRenzo Russo, and Alberta Raup all of Wallingford, and Deborah DiPietro of Hamden, grandchildren; Sarah, Sydney, & Noah Ouimet, Erika, Ashley, David Jr., Onna, Albert Jr., Kevin & Talia DeRenzo, and a great grandchildren; Gionna, Lina, Brook, and Kelly. She was predeceased by a son Mark, a daughter Lisa, and a grandson Carlos. At the request of the family all services and interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute ( www.Cancerresearch.org ).
