IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deidre "Dee
Dee" Perrotti
August 1, 1968 – October 26, 2021
Deidre Perrotti "Dee Dee" 53, of Hamden, CT, passed away unexpectedly on the twenty-sixth of October at the Yale New Haven Hospital. She was surrounded by her family during her final moments, after experiencing a heart attack. Deidre was born on the first of August, in 1968. She was born and raised in CT. She is the daughter of George Perrotti and Barbara Holmes, who she loved and supported dearly. She had two children, Gabriella Koziel "Peanut" and Ryan Koziel "Rippy." She made taking care of her children her life purpose and could be seen attending Gabriella's softball games and Ryan's crew meets. She taught her daughter how to color within the lines and taught her son how to empathize with others. She was a constant source of support and was known for her generosity and kindness. Her love for her nieces, Jamie & Lily, and nephews, Johnny, Joey, Miller, and Theodore, was unconditional and a true gift of grace. Throughout her life, she held and nurtured all of them as babies and fell in love with each and every one of them, to the very end. She is survived by her brother and sisters-in-law Jennifer, Christopher (Kathy), Jesse and John who always showed their support and she was forever grateful to have had a family like them. She is loved by her sister, Danean Doheny "Nene "and her best friends Sherri Burke-D'Aniello, and Lesley Paquin. They knew how to make her smile, even in the toughest of times. Deidre was down to earth and a happy camper. She enjoyed vacationing in Upstate New York with her former spouse, Jeffrey Koziel, and her children. These memories were a cherished part of her life, from boating on Blue Mountain Lake to enjoying lobster dinners during her birthdays spent up there. Deidre fulfilled many roles. She was a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, an adventurer, and above all, a source of strength and bravery for all of those who knew her. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend a memorial Mass on the second of November at 10:00am at St. Rita Church, Hamden, CT.
