Deborah Ann "Debbie" Spivey, 60, of Hamden, died at her home, Jan. 1, 2019 after a brief illness. Debbie was born in New Haven, Dec. 24, 1958, the cherished daughter of Marie DeStefano Spivey of Hamden and the late Linwood Spivey and was a lifelong Hamden resident. She graduated from the Celentano Day School and worked at ARC in Hamden for 30 years and at The Gap for 18 years. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling, dancing and music. Beside her loving mother, she is survived by siblings, Lynda ( Stephen) Delaney of Orange and Richard Spivey of Hamden, niece of Thomas Spivey of Bfd., and Priscilla DeStefano of No. Haven, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to ARC, 109 Sanford St., Hamden, Ct. 06514
