Obituary

Deborah Jean Norman "Deb", 55 of Hamden, passed away peacefully in her home March 7th. Born in New Haven May 16, 1967, she leaves behind her fiancé, Maryann Wotton of Hamden, her mother, Linda (Howard) Warnken of Cheshire, her father, Donald (Carol) Norman of Hamden, sisters; Donna (Anthony) Carbone of Cheshire, & Diane (Richard) Phipps of Haddam, a brother Michael (Debbi) Norman of Higganum as well as her beloved nephews and nieces; Ryan, Tyler, and Alexa Carbone; Grayson & Tea Norman; Kyle, Corey, Rhianna & Alex Phipps. Deb was a warm and giving daughter, sister, and "Auntie" who cherished her family time, had a soulful, free spirit and loved to laugh. Deb graduated from Cheshire High School in 1985 and from Paier College of Art in 1989 as a freelance artist and musician. Deb was never happier than when she was singing, playing the piano & guitar, or painting. She previously had worked at the Strong House adult day center and for the past seven years, she has been the Recreational Therapy Director at LiveWell, where she worked every day to spark creativity in her dementia patients through art and song. Calling hours will be held SUNDAY from 3-7pm in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell ave., Hamden. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Bridget of Sweeden Church, Cheshire Monday at 10am for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LiveWell www.livewell.org
