David (Goglia) Goya, of 437 Orchard St., New Haven, died Oct. 27, 2010 at Yale New Haven Hospital, suddenly. David was born in New Haven, July 8, 1947, the son of the late Edward and Anna Cerqua Goglia and graduated Hamden High School, where he was on the hockey team, and the University of Conn. He was an entertainer, traveling the world with many famous groups. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Michael (Joyce) Papero of North Branford, a brother, Dr. Edward M. (Lois) Goglia of Hamden, uncle of Lynn Calabrese, Michele Papero, Douglas and Todd Goglia, great uncle of Olyvia and Nadia Calabrese. A private service will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
