Daniel J. O'Connor Jr., of 430 Shepard Ave., Hamden, died at his home, Jan. 9, 2010 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Pasqua DiMaggio O'Connor. Dan was born in New Haven, May 28, 1947 the son of Beatrice Alling O'Connor of Hamden and the late Daniel O'Connor Sr. and was a draftesman for OEM Controlls of Shelton for 24 years until his illness. He was an Air Force Veteran of The Vietman War from 1966 to 1970 and later served in the Army Reserve from 1974, retiring in 1994. He was a 10 plus gallon blood donor and an avid bowler at the Johnson Duck Pin Bowling Lanes in Hamden. Beside his wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Daniel J. ( Stacey ) O'Connor III of North Haven, David M. O'Connor of Charlotte, NC and Gerald A. O'Connor of Hamden, brother of Mrs. Steven ( Laurel ) Vollono and Mrs. Gerard ( Suzanne ) Colligan, both of Wlfg. devoted grandfather of Taylor and Mia O'Connor, uncle of Stephen, Christopher and Scott Vollono and Krystle and Barbara DiMaggio. Also a special Aunt, Mrs. William ( Virginia ) Lemmon of Hamden. Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 7:30 in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, with the Rev. Douglas House presiding. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. Ash intermenmt, with military honors, will be Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at St. Lawrence Cemetery, at 10 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society of Ct., P.O.
