Daniel D. Cricco, 65, of Avon, Maine, died Jan. 20, 2917 at the V.A. Hospital of Augusta after a brief illness. Dan was born in New Haven, April 12, 1951, the son of the late Pasquale and Aida Popolizio Cricco and was raised in Hamden and resided in Maine the last 30 years, where he was a carpenter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and served in  the Army during the Vietman War. A former member of American Legion, Post 88, Hamden, he was a member of Post 64  and  the Salem Outlaws Color Guard in Maine and the Highwood Heaters Club. He is survived by his brother , Michael and his wife Valerie Cricco of North Haven, cousins and many close friends. Funeral Thursday at 10:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. Friends may call Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M.
