Cynthia J. Fiore, beloved daughter of Gloria Litsky and the late John Fiore, step daughter of Marshall Litsky, passed away peacefully at Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation Center, Niantic, on Dec. 7, 2017 after a long illness. Cynthia was born in New Haven, July 26, 1961 and was a sweet and loving soul who will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Prior to being diagnosed with progressive MS, Cynthia was a classical pianist and studied dance for many years with Ernestine Stodelle, one of the foremost teachers of modern dance in America. Cynthia loved music and was Davy Jones' most loyal fan. A teddy bear named David was her constant companion. Sounds of Billy Joel, Jethro Tull and the Beatles were often heard coming from her room. While undergoing treatment at Gaylord Hospital, Cynthia was a patient of Dr. David Rosenblum. His picture hung on a bulletin board in her room and just the mention of his name always brought a big smile. Cynthia's mom was her constant advocate and her visits several times weekly were always a source of joy. Cynthia's family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at Bride Brook for there loving care over the past 19 years. A celebration of life gathering will take place, Tuesday in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, from 4 to 6 P.M. Interment will be privately held in, Beaverdale Memorial Park. Memorial; donations may be made in Cynthia's name to the MS Society, Conn.
