Clara Grassi Caroti, 86, of Long Hill Terr., New Haven, died Jan. 22, 2012 at the Willows, Woodbridge after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Lebert Caroti. Clara was born in Rome, Italy, Oct. 20, 1925, the daughter of the late Uldelrico and Eda Grassi and resided in the Westville section of Hamden for many years. She is survived by a sister, Rita Caratelli of New Haven and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a daughter, Julia Caroti and a brother Alberto Grassi. Funeral Monday at 9:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Aedan's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may Monday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M..
