Charles W. Rainer 93, of Hamden died January 12, 2025 at Yale's St. Raphael Hospital after a long illness. Born in New Haven, son of the late Fred & Blanche Rainer, Charles worked as a maintenance supervisor for the former SNET. He enjoyed going on vacations with his grandchildren, especially Cape Cod. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a stepson Kenneth (Ann) Bertine, and grandchildren Michele Lynn Bertine & Shawn Eric Bertine. Private services were held in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home. Burial was also private.
