Catherine Ester Cahill, 78, of Waterbury, CT, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Vitas – St. Mary's Hospital.  She was born in Punxsutawney, PA on August 14, 1943, a daughter of the late Gilbert Emanuel Carlson and Catherine Margaret Carlson.

She is survived by her two children, her son, Sean Hunihan and his wife Amy of Waterbury, CT and her daughter, Kelly Cesare and her husband Craig of Hamden, CT: her two grandchildren, Craig Jr and Gabriella Cesare, her two sisters, Beverly Ann Hudson and husband Richard, Lorene Good, all from Dubois, PA and her one brother, Mark Carlson and wife Kim of Punxsutawney, PA.  She was preceded by her parents and two brothers, Robert Emanuel Carlson, and Larry Carlson and one sister, Carla Jo Lunger.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was always there when anyone needed her.  She was very loved and will be missed terribly.

There will be a private family ceremony to be held in Anita, PA with her immediate family.
