Carol Ring Cote, 74, of 145 Dorrance St., Hamden, died Sept. 23, 2012 at Conn Hospice. Carol was born in New Haven, Dec. 24, 1937, the daughter of the late Lester Ring and Caroline Scoopo Teasedale, was an administrative assistant working for Kemper Ins. Co. and the last 17 years for the State of Conn, DCF, prior to retiring. She enjoyed music and roller skating and was an avid square and line dancer. She loved her family and traveling with her loving companion, Michael Cardo of Hamden. She was honored by the American Red Cross for her blood donations of over 11 gallons and recently a blood drive was held in her honor. Beside her companion, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Renee) Wozniak of East Hampton, sons, John F. Cote of Shelton, David B. (Ann) Cote of Bethany and Kevin (Trisha) Cote of North Haven, her beloved mother in law, Carmel Cote and sister in law Rosemary Cote and grandchildren, Melissa, John, Adam, Daniel, Elizabeth, Christopher, Tyler and Morgan. Funeral Friday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 o'clock. Interment private.
