It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Carmen Delarosa, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on June 4, 1936, in Puerto Rico, Carmen built a beautiful life centered around family, hard work, creativity, and love. On February 6, 1964, she married the love of her life, Armando Delarosa, beginning a life together filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Carmen eventually made her home in New York, where she worked for many years as a talented seamstress in shops, stores, and garment factories. She had a remarkable gift for sewing and creating beautiful clothing. Throughout her career, she made women’s garments, including elegant dresses for some of life’s most treasured occasions. She was especially known for making beautiful wedding gowns and quinceañera dresses, putting her time, patience, and loving attention into every stitch. Beyond her incredible talent, Carmen will be remembered most for the love she gave to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her hands may have grown still, but the love she stitched into our family will last forever. May she rest peacefully and forever be surrounded by the love she gave so freely to others. Rest in peace, Grandma Carmen. You will be loved and missed forever. At the request of the family, all services were privately held.
