Brian J. Fischer, Sr., 53, of 419 Denslow Hill Rd., Hamden, died suddenly in Milford, Feb, 1, 2011. Brian was born in Queens, N.Y., Aug. 2, 1957, the son of Leona Mott Fischer, of Hamden and the late Herman Fischer, Sr. and resided in Conn. since 1985. He was a manager for several area large grocery stores 's fish departements. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and was a devoted member of AA and offered much of his time in helping others. Beside his mother, he was the father of Brian J. Fischer II of Monroe and Natasha Cook of Buffalo Grove, IL. brother of Nancy Burban of Stratford, Dawn Dormitorio of Naperville, IL., Alicia Panayotakis of Hamden, Terry Fischer of Beacon Falls, Timothy Fischer of Stratford, Christopher Fischer of Newtown and the late Laura Correri and Thomas Fischer. Friends are invited to go directly to the Church of the Ascension, Hamden, Tuesday, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o'clock and may call Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Intement in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
