Obituary

Beverly J. Curello, 93 of Prospect died suddenly at home on September 7th. She was the loving wife of the late Gene Curello. Born in New Haven, April 23, 1931, daughter of the late Ralph & Mary Maturo Cavallaro, Beverly worked a short time at the former U.S. Surgical. Beverly was an active member of the Prospect Senior Center. She loved knitting & crocheting and was a member of the center's "Happy Knitting" Club. She also enjoyed spending time with family.  She is survived by sons Andrew "Buddy" (Susan) Curello of Hamden, Gregory (Charlene) Curello, Zachary (Lisa) Curello, & Michael (Christine) Curello, all of Cheshire, a daughter Gina Cimino of Madison, and 14 grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Dolores Cox, and Joan Cummings. Calling hours will be held Wednesday September 11th from 8:15 to 10:15 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in St. Bridget's of Sweeden Church, Cheshire CT. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
