Barbara M. Reiber 91, a longtime Hamden resident passed peacefully April 14th at Yale's St. Raphael campus with her family by her side. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Carl Sr. & Mamie Stander Reiber. Barbara was a teacher for 40 years she loved teaching. She got her teaching degrees at Alburtus Magnus College and S.C.S.U. She attended Trinity College for extra studies. Barbara lived a life of Faith at Blessed Sacrament Church of Hamden CT where she became a Eucharistic Minister. Barbara loved helping others. She is survived by her beloved daughter Carolyn Tiroletto, who she adopted in 1973 and her son in law Rafael Ortiz of Branford CT, a grandson Peter Tiroletto of East Haven CT, and her two great grandsons AJ and Giovanni Tiroletto of East Haven CT. She was predeceased by a brother Col. Carl F Reiber. At the request of the family, all services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
