Antonio "Tony" Ciaburri, 81, of Hamden, died at home, Nov. 17, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Brenda Mattei Ciaburri. Tony was born in New Haven, July 20, 1936, the son of the late Anthony John and Susie Penque Ciaburri and resided in Hamden most of his life He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and earned the rating of expert shooter. A licensed real estate broker, together with his son, owned The Fry Wizard Co.. In prior years, he was an electronic distributor for the aeronautics industry, and at the same time owned Vamistor, a resistor mfg. plant in TN. He later expanded into distribution and manufacturing of restaurant equipment, resulting in the Fry Wizard. Beside his wife he is survived by his loving children, Suzanne Ciaburri and Antonio Ciaburri Jr., his grandchildren, Anthony John and Michael Aaron Ciaburri, He was pre-deceased by his sister, Lucille (Louis ) Brunelli. Tony was a brother in law, uncle and longtime friend. Funeral Tuesday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11 AM. Interment with full military honors in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden, Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.
