Antonietta Bellini Viscuso, 93, of 70 Dix St. Hamden, died Feb. 7, 2010 surrounded buy her loving family at Conn. Hospice. She was the wife of the late Antonio Viscuso. Antonietta was born in Hamden, April 3, 1916, the daughter of the late Luigi & Cristina Barone Bellini, moved to Gioia Sannitica, Italy at age of 7, where she married, raised a family and returned to the USA in 1965.A loving and caring mom, she was extremely proud of her 9 children that she brought to the US to progress to a better life. She was a very generous woman who offered everyone a glass of homemade wine, taralle and vegetables from her garden, that she tended until age 85. She was proud to be an Amercan citizen and loved the American flag. She is survived by 9 children, Luigi (Annette) Viscuso of New Haven, Maria (Domenico) Cusano, Andrea (Lena) Viscuso,Marcella (Roger) Burgh, Raffaele (Filomena) Viscuso,and Angelo (Rosaria) Viscuso, all of Hamden, John (Maria) Viscuso of Milford, Cristina (Tony) Ferrucci of Northford and Concetta (Franco) LaCerva of Wallingford, 25 loving grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Lisa Viscuso, granddaughters, Anna Viscuso and Melissa Burgh, and sisters, Cristina DiSanto and Concetta Bellini. Her joy in life was her love for God, her family and friends which brought her much happiness. She will surely me missed by everyone, forever. A special thanks to Ct. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M.
