Anthony Scalesse Sr., 85, of Cheshire, formerly of Lexington Ave., Hamden, died July 7, 2013 with is wife of 60 years, Gloria Civitello Scalesse, and his family by his side. Anthony was born in New Haven, July 27, 1927, the son of the late Peter and Beatrice Esposito Scalesse. He was an MP in the Army in Germany during WWII for 3 years and worked at United Nuclear Corp for 12 years and for Pratt Whitney for 26 years prior to retirement. He was an avid Yankee and NY Giant fan and enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He is the father of Anthony Scalesse Jr (Dolores) of Kannapolis, NC, SallyAnn Taroli (William) of Cheshire, Barbara Ann Ackerson (Albert) of Clinton and Patricia Milardo who was like another daughter, grandfather of Anthony Scalesse III (Crystal), Steven Scalesse (Jenna), Kristin Marie Tiroli, Marisa Ann Tiroli, great grand children, Anthony IV and Jaedon Scalesse and Jecyra Battle Scalesse, siblings, Peter ( Dorathea), John (Eileen) and Robert (Carol) Scalesse and Lena Tombary, and the late Charles and Dominic Scalesse, his twin, Donald Scalesse and Virginia Scalesse and Adele Vestuti (John) and many nieces and nephews, and special nieces and nephews in Dallas,Tx. The family would like to thank all his doctors, caretakers family members and neighbors for their compassion and care. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Circular Ave., Hamden followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery with full military honors.
