Anthony J. "AJ" Meizies IV, 20, of New St., West Haven, died suddenly at home on May 24, 2016. He was the beloved son of Joyce Meyerholz  and  Anthony Meizies III. AJ was born in New Haven, Oct. 5, 1995 and had been a laborer for several area firms. A very sensitive and creative person he was very athletic, playing baseball for 12 years and enjoying wrestling, having met many WWE stars. Beside his parents, he is survived by a sister, Amaya Brabham, grandparents, Michael and Lisa Meyerholz and Una Maturo, aunts and uncles, Peter & Melissa Meizies, William and Michael Meyerholz, Linda Curry, Lori Santiago, Tammy Bernardo (Louie) and the late Philip Maturo, cousin Samantha Ayala and his soul mate, Sylvia Yanez. Friends may gather at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock to form a procession to Beaverdale Memorial Park for interment, and may call Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
