Anthony Benjamin Massaro "Tony", passed away on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at his home in Hamden. Tony was born in East Haven, March 25, 1934 to the late John and Luisa Laurenza Massaro and proudly served his country as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army. He later became Plant Manager for Entoleter Corp. and worked until his retirement in 2006. He married the love of his life, the late Carmelita Zullo, who he was devoted to for fifty nine years. Tony loved his family and was an avid automobile enthusiast. He spent his retirement collecting and restoring classic farm tractors. He enjoyed taking long rides with his family in special vehicles and loved spending time at his property in upstate New York. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his three devoted sons, Anthony Massaro (Julie Michaelson), David (Kathleen) Massaro and Dennis (Cathy) Massaro, all of Hamden, grandchildren, Antonio, Gianna, Melissa, Caitlin and Steven, a sister, Marie "Dolly" Cappella of North Haven, sisters in law, Carol and Marie Massaro, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Amelia Massaro and brothers, John and Alex Massaro.
Funeral Thursday with military honors, at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 0'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven, Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday morning from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m..
