Anthony J. Ferrara, 31, of West Haven, died at his home, Sept. 26, 2017. He was the son of Sandra Angelotti Ferrara of West Haven and Dominic Ferrara of Hamden. Tony was born in New Haven, Aug. 4, 1986, and was a proud, hard working iron worker for Iron Workers Union, Local 424. He was especially proud of three jobs that he completed; the Q-Bridge, Trump Tower in Stamford, and the Yale Dorms in New Haven. He completed 30 hrs of OSHA classes, rigger training, and was a qualified crane signaler. Anthony was loving, caring, supportive, and a strong son, uncle, father, friend & brother, adored by all. He had a spirit that lit up a room. He loved the movies and knew the songs to all of them. He was proud of his Italian heritage and fully embraced his culture.
Beside his parents, he is survived by a loving daughter, Gianna Park of New Haven, sisters, Stacey DeCrosta of CA, and Nichole and Patricia DeCrosta, both of New Haven. He also leaves behind 3 special nieces, Ruby Rose Periera, Anna Patricia Periera and Violet Larie Williams, and two nephews, Nico Thurston and Jezmund Armand McVety. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Armand Angelotti, maternal grandmother Helen Haddon Davis, step father Pasquale DeCrosta, and paternal grandfather Dominic "Slick Mick" Ferrara. Friends may call Saturday at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, from 10 AM to 12 noon. Interment private.
