Anne Marie Criscuolo Luzzi, 87, formerly of New Haven, died May 6, 2017 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of John L. Luzzi, Sr. Anne was born in New Haven, Oct. 22, 1929, the daughter of the late Anthony and Madlyn Gargano Criscuolo and was a claims processor for Blue Cross-Blue Shield for 20 years, prior to retiring. She was a member of St. Andrew's Ladies Society. She was the most happy when she was surrounded by her family and friends and enjoyed cooking for them. She is survived by her children, Anthony (Rosemary) Luzzi of New Haven, John (Tracy) Luzzi of MA, Marie Benway of Bellows Falls, VT., Joseph (Ilene Goldberg) Luzzi of East Haven and Barbara Luzzi Pepe of Wlfg.,a sister, Barbara (Lawrence) Spinello of Bfd.,10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Phyllis Bellucci, a grandson, Ralph E. Pepe Jr., and a son in law, Walter Benway. Funeral Thursday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Michael's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven, Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
