Anna V. Carolla Rubertone, 96, died Dec. 4, 2014, on her birthday, at Hamden Health Care, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Rubertone. Anne was born in New Haven, Dec. 4, 1918, daughter of the late John and Mary Colasanto Carolla and had resided in Hamden all her life. She was a sales associate for the Tower and Bradles Dept. Stores for many years prior to retirement. She was a member of the Senior Bowling League, St. Rita Rosary Society of St. Ann's Church and avid UCONN Womens Basketball & NY Yankee fan and enjoyed cooking for her family. She is survived by a son, Joseph D. (Marguerite) Rubertone of Wallingford, a sister, Mrs. Frank(Gloria) Sauro of Hamden, grandchildren, Joseph D. (Brittany) Rubertone Jr., Christopher S. Rubertone, Maris A. (Scott) Medeiros and Meaghan Rubertone and a great granddaughter, Sienna Rubertone and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Rose Seneca, Eleanor Carolla, Virginia Fresolone, Lorraine DeNicola and Joseph Carolla. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery North Haven. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
