Anna M. Pepe Ferraro, 87, of 116 Elmer Ave., Hamden, died May 12, 2012 at the Masonic Hospice Care Center. She was the wife of Alexander "Al" Ferraro. Ann was born in West Haven, Sept. 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Peter and Rosina Castilucci Pepe and prior to her retirement had worked in the Registrar's Office at SCSU for 13 years. A longtime active parishoneer of St. Ann's Church she was a former church trustee, former president of the St. Rita Rosary Society, taught CCD, director of the Young at Heart Club and the parish bingo, member of the Parish Council, sang in its choir, member of New Haven Council of Catholic Women and the Columbettes. She received the St. Joseph Diocesan Service Award for her efforts in behalf of her parish. Beside her husband, she is survived by daughters Sharon Nolan of Hamden, Mrs. Joseph (Kathy) Delcavo of Cheshire, Mrs. Raymond (Susan) Marcell of East Haven, a son, Stephen (Jody) Ferraro of Bridgeport, grandchildren, Christina (Chris) Lopresto, Brian, Mark, and Eric DelCavo, Michael (Kim), Christopher, Rachel Marcell and a greatgrandchild, Kaleb Marcell. She was pre-decerased by siblings Antoinette Ciardiello, Philomena Ferrara, Josephine Ferraro, Carmel Brown, John, Vito and Ralph Pepe. Funeral Wednesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 10 o'clock.Burial in Centerville cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
