Ann M. Apicella Barbieri, 87, of 126 Westminster St., Hamden, died at St. Raphael's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife for 65 of Frederick Barbieri. Ann was born in New York City, Jan. 7, 1925 the daughter of the late John and Assunta Apicella and was a bookkeeper for the Magestic Laundry and National Compressed Gas prior to her retirement, 25 years ago. She was a Minister of the Eucharist, and a member of the Altar Society, a member of the Council of Catholic Women, Marion Guild, the Red Hatters, Ridge Road Seniors and the West Haven I.A. Seniors. Beside her husband, she is survived by a son Thomas (Kelly) Barbieri of Hamden, siblings, Julia Hooghkirk of West Haven and Vincent (Lena) Apicella of Orange and grandchildren, Matthew, Amy and Ava Barbieri. Funeral Tuesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
