Angiola DeDomenico, 86 of Branford died Sunday evening with her family beside her. Angie was born in Cerreto Sannita, Italy on May 9, 1936, the daughter of Maria Carmela (Parente) DiCrosta and Antonio DiCrosta. She leaves behind three loving children Rita (Scott) Nabstedt, Joseph B. DeDomenico and Donna (Steven) Gallagher, cherished grandchildren, Kayleigh, Emma, and Joseph. She also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews. Angie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years Joseph DeDomenico. One of seven children Angie was predeceased by Paul (Giovanna) DiCrosta of Hamden, Francesco (Teresa) DiCrosta of Italy, Pasquale (Elvira) DiCrosta of Hamden, Leo (Marie) DiCrosta of East Haven, Greg (Carol) DiCrosta of Hamden and is survived by her sister Marie (Carmen) Fresa of Branford. Angie lived and worked on her family farm in Italy until coming to the United States of America at the age of eighteen. Shortly after, she met and married the love of her life Joe. Angie was a full-time homemaker, an affectionate mom and managed a wonderful home. During her life in Hamden, she was a member of St. Ann's Church and the St. Rita's Society. An outstanding cook and baker of the most delicious Italian food ever, Angie was in her element when surrounded by family and friends sharing great Italian food and special moments. She was a certified home childcare giver who bonded immediately with the children she cared for and was quick to teach them Italian as well. Angie had a deep love for her family and was a strong believer in Que Sera Sera. A resilient, dedicated and loving force who will be greatly missed by family and friends. Calling Hours will be 8 – 10 am on SATURDAY, in the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Avenue Hamden, with a 10:30am Mass at Christ Bread of Life Parish (Blessed Sacrament). Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association (www.heart.org)
