Angelo DiSalvatore, 83, of Hamden, passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Filomena Gentile DiSalvatore. Angelo was born in Castel Morrone, Caserta, Italy Oct. 23, 1931, son of the late Luigi and Consolata Campagnano DiSalvatore. He is survived by his daughters, Tina(Dominic)Corraro of North Haven and Maria(Vincenzo)Testa of Hamden, and grandchildren Antonio(Antonietta)Testa, Christina(Dave)Crocco, Elisabetta, Angela, and Dominic Corraro, and great-grandchildren Maria Teresa and Matthew, and dear friend, Nuria D'Aprile of New Haven. He is predeceased by his sister Ida of Italy and brothers Frank and Vincent of NY. Angelo was a retiree of The Marlin Firearms Corp. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at 10 am at Saint Stephen Church, 400 Ridge Road, Hamden. Entombment will follow in All Saint's Cemetery, North Haven. Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, from 4 to 8 pm at Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave, Hamden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Notre Dame High School of West Haven or Saint Stephen School, Hamden.
