Angelina "Angie" DelVecchio Nista, 94, of 63 Whiting St., Hamden, died Oct. 3, 2010 at the Grimes Center. She was the widow of Rocco Nista. Angie was born in Hamden, Jan. 25, 1916, the daughter of the late Pasqualina and Vicenazio DelVecchio and had resided in Highwood section of Hamden, all her life. She was a seamstress, making ties for local distributors. She is survived by a son, Richard G. Nista of Tequesta, FL. sisters, Margaret Sufferdini, MaryAnn Knight, both of Hamden, Eleanor Berlolini of West Haven, & brothers, Vincent "Chick" and Fred DelVecchio, both of Hamden. She was pre-deceased by sisters, Adele DelVecchio, Edith Vasquez, Sylvia Barbieri and Josephine Guarino and brothers, Salavtore and Paul DelVecchio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 10 to 12 A.M. Interment private.
