Andrew M. (Dan) Burns, 83, of New Haven, passed away on October 20, 2018. He is survived by his sons Robert E. Burns of Sebastian, Florida and Daniel C. Burns (Theresa) of Woodbridge, and his beloved grandson, Eli S. Burns. He was proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean conflict. The family thanks Andrews' long-time friend, Alcira Spear, for all her care and devotion throughout his illness. The family also wishes to thank the physicians, nurses and care-givers at the West Haven Veterans Administration Hospital and the VA Community Living Center for caring for Andrew with the highest skill and sincerest compassion. At Andrew's request, services will be private. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
