Alphonse "Al" "Butch" Pageau, age 81, of Thorndike, Maine, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, following a short illness. Born in New Haven, son of the late Donald & Edna Messier Pageau, Al dedicated his life to his family, his country, and his trade. A proud veteran, he served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked as a skilled electrician for over 35 years, known for his strong work ethic and expertise. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Pageau; his daughter, Michele Pageau Faires and her husband Glenn; his son, Adam Pageau and his wife Sharon; and his cherished grandsons, Hunter and Cole Pageau. He is also survived by his brother, William; his sisters, Nancy, Roseanne, and Janice; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald and Richard, and sister, Barbara. A memorial funeral Mass will be held on September 3, at 10 am in Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
