Alice DiPino Cartier, 89, of Hamden, died Nov. 28, 2017 at Whitney Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of William A. Cartier. Alice was born in New Haven, July 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Angelo and Caroline Perillo DiPino and resided in Hamden most of her life. She was a waitress for over 40 years at the Acropolis and Colonial Diners and enjoyed organizing trips to the casinos and going out to dine with her friends. She spent her last 18 years as a resident of Dunbar-Davenport of Hamden where she had many friends. She will be remembered most for her out going personality and loving heart.
She is survived by her devoted son, Paul (Cheryl) Cartier of Hamden, 2 grandsons, Alexander and Christopher Cartier and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Phyllis Monico, Rose Milano, Ann Mastrangelo, John and Albert DiPino. Funeral Friday at 9: 30 AM from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 O'Clock . Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
