Obituary

Alfred "Sonny" Raccio, 89, of North Haven, died at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on May 19, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Louise Borrelli Raccio. Sonny was born in Hamden, July 8, 1927 son of the late Stefano and Josephine Riccitelli Raccio and resided in North Haven most of his life. He was a foreman at G & O Manufacturing Co. for many years prior to retirement. A Navy Veteran of WWII, he enjoyed spending winters in Florida, bowling, golf and trips to the casino. He was a longtime communicant and active member of St. Therese Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen (John) Kubilus of Cheshire, Marylouise (William) Clark of Unity, NH and Lewis (Karen) Raccio of Maple Grove, MN. a sister, Joanne (Richard) Broga and brothers, Angelo (Anne) Raccio and Nicholas Raccio, all of North Haven and grandchildren, Kyle Raccio, John, Jordan and Evan Kubilus and Jacob, Hannah and Emily Clark. He was pre-deceased by sisters, Sylvia Borrelli and Mary Martine. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Therese Church, Friday, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM., and may call at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, Ct. 06405-4906
