Aleksandra Mierzwa Passarrello, 72, of 426 Waite St., Hamden, died July 28, 2013 at Conn Hospice after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Anthony C. Passarello. Alexsandra was born in Rudnik n Sanem, Poland, Jan. 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Wojciech and Katarzyna Dziki Mierzwa and attended the International Trade Univ. in Sopot, Poland. She came to this country in 1961 and had resided in Hamden the last 44 years. She taught Polish in St. Stanislaus School and was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling especially her trip to the Holy Land. She is also survived by her children, Sandra (Robert) Siena of Portland, Katreena Passarello of Branford, Anthony A. Passarello and Alexander A. Passarello, both of Hamden, a sister, Stanislawa "Stella" Samsel of Athens, GA and a brother, Edward (Anna) Mierzwa of Branford, grandchildren Sebastian and Gabrielle Siena and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday at 10:15from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Rita's Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
